Dwayne started with Canada Gold Beef Inc in August, 2009 and brings 25 years of accounting and management experience to his role as Controller.
Dwayne graduated from Lethbridge College in 1985 and received his CGA designation in 1988. After over 20 years in public practice as partner and managing partner with a large portion of his practice in the agriculture sector, Dwayne wanted to work first hand with producers in Ag. For over four years Dwayne filled a key management and finance role with a large diversified southern Alberta farm corporation.
Now nearing five years into this career change, Dwayne hasn't looked back and looks forward to playing a key role in helping Canada Gold develop its' brand, value chain and business.
Dwayne and his wife Sharon have two grown children, Laura and Andrew and enjoy golfing and travel. Dwayne enjoys being active in the community, serving in the past on committees or boards such as Lethbridge College Business Advisory Committee, Lethbridge Minor Hockey Association and the CGA Practice Review Committee. He enjoyed many years of coaching in both hockey and baseball and lists his participation as Chair of the finance committee for the World Under 17 Hockey Challenge held in Lethbridge in 2005 as a personal highlight as a volunteer.
